FAQ
Quick answers for teams evaluating Moneybag, preparing onboarding documents, testing integrations, and managing payment operations.
Getting Started
- What is Moneybag? Moneybag is a payment gateway that helps businesses accept online payments, manage settlements, process refunds, monitor disputes, and reconcile transactions through APIs and dashboard tools.
- How long does integration usually take? Integration time depends on the checkout flow, payment methods, and internal review process. Developers can use Moneybag's sandbox, API documentation, and webhook events to prepare before going live.
- Can I test before going live? Yes. Use the sandbox to test payment creation, authorization outcomes, webhook handling, refunds, failed payments, and reconciliation flows.
Onboarding and Approval
- What documents are required? Typical requirements include business registration details, tax information, ownership details, authorized representative identity, website or app details, bank account information, and product or service descriptions.
- How long does approval take? Approval depends on document completeness, business type, website readiness, risk review, and any additional checks required by banking or payment partners.
Payments and Settlements
- Which payment methods does Moneybag support? Confirmed payment methods should be listed by market, grouped by cards, bank transfers, wallets, and local payment methods.
- When will I receive payouts? Settlement timing depends on payment method, currency, merchant risk profile, bank cutoffs, holidays, reserves, and compliance reviews.
- Why did a payment fail? Common reasons include issuer decline, insufficient funds, incorrect card details, expired card, authentication failure, fraud or risk checks, payment method limits, or unavailable payment method.
Fees, Refunds, and Chargebacks
- Where can I see fees? Approved merchants can view applicable fees in the dashboard, pricing page, or commercial agreement.
- Can I issue partial refunds? If supported for the payment method and transaction status, merchants can issue full or partial refunds through the dashboard or API.
- How are chargebacks handled? Moneybag notifies the merchant when a dispute is received and provides tools or guidance for submitting evidence before the relevant deadline.
