THE CHARGE

How payment charges work.

Here is when the transaction charge applies and how it is handled.

  1. 01

    Only successful payments

A failed or abandoned checkout does not incur a processing charge.

  2. 02

    Customer-paid by default

The transaction charge is added to the amount the customer pays at checkout.

  3. 03

    Setup fee agreed separately

The one-time setup fee is agreed when you join. It is separate from the charge on transactions.

  4. 04

    Payments in Taka

Moneybag processes payments in Bangladeshi Taka and settles to your registered bank account in Bangladesh.

MERCHANT-PAID OPTION

You can absorb the charge.

If your business chooses to cover the transaction charge, it is deducted from your settlement rather than added to the customer's payment. Your arrangement is confirmed with Moneybag.

OPTIONAL CARD INSTALMENTS

Discuss EMI separately.

Eligible card payments can be split into instalments. If your business needs EMI, our team can explain the separate terms for that service.

SETTLEMENT

From payment to your account.

Settlement follows the cycle in your merchant agreement. Moneybag operations reviews and releases each settlement; it is not instant or automatic.

  1. 01

    Payment confirmed

The card network, bank or wallet provider confirms the customer's payment.

  2. 02

    Settlement amount calculated

Moneybag calculates the amount due to you based on who pays the transaction charge.

  3. 03

    Settlement released

Moneybag operations reviews and releases the settlement on your agreed cycle.

  4. 04

    Funds reach your account

The settlement amount is transferred to your registered bank account and appears in your settlement reports.

What can affect timing?

Weekends, bank holidays, bank cutoff times, holds, risk or compliance reviews, and chargebacks can move a settlement later. Your dashboard provides transaction-level settlement detail.
