Pricing
Pay per transaction. Nothing else.
No setup fee, no monthly fee, no annual fee — a percentage of each successful payment, and nothing on the ones that do not complete. The rate for each method is set in your merchant agreement.
Methods and rates
Eleven methods run on one integration, and all eleven are listed here. Each carries its own rate — a wallet and an Amex card do not cost the same — and the rate for each is set per method in your merchant agreement rather than published on this page.
- bKash
- Nagad
- Rocket
- upay
- tap
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Diners Club
- UnionPay
- DBBL Nexus
- American Express
Rates are charged per successful transaction and exclude VAT where applicable. The rates that apply to your account are the ones written into your signed merchant agreement, and the agreement is what applies.
What the rate is applied to
One percentage, on the payment itself. The interesting part of a rate card is rarely the number — it is what the number is charged on, and when it is taken.
-
Only on a payment that succeeds
A failed or abandoned checkout costs nothing. Only a successful transaction is ever picked up for settlement, so a payment that never completes never reaches a fee.
-
Taken out of the payment, not billed to you
The fee is worked out on each transaction and you are settled the net amount. There is no separate bill at the end of the month and nothing to pay in advance.
-
In Taka, to a bank account in Bangladesh
Moneybag processes in Bangladeshi Taka only, and settles in Taka to the bank account registered on your account.
-
VAT is not inside the rate
Rates are quoted exclusive of VAT. Where VAT applies it sits on top of the rate card rather than inside it, so the percentages here are the processing rate and nothing else.
Five attempts, four fees. The one that did not go through is not charged for.
Two things change what a payment costs
A setting on your account
Who carries the service charge
The charge can be added to what the customer pays at checkout, or absorbed by you and taken out of your settlement instead. The platform default is that it is added to the customer's payment; absorbing it is agreed with Moneybag rather than switched in the dashboard. Nothing about the rate changes either way — only which side of the counter it lands on.
On card payments
Instalments
A customer paying by card can spread a large order over monthly instalments — up to 36 months, across nine partner banks. EMI carries its own charge on top of the rate above: the bank's EMI fee, held per bank and per term, and a Moneybag EMI processing fee. That charge has a fee-bearer setting of its own, and its default is also that the customer pays it. No EMI figure is quoted on this card.
How card EMI worksA single payment has a floor and a ceiling. The limits that apply to your account are set with Moneybag when the account is opened, so they are part of your agreement rather than part of the rate card.
When the money reaches you
Settlement runs on the cycle agreed in your merchant agreement, and each one is released by a person in Moneybag operations. It is not instant and it is not automatic — we would rather say so here than have you find out from a report.
From payment to bank account
- The customer pays, and the card network, bank or wallet provider confirms the transaction.
- The transaction becomes eligible on the settlement cycle set out in your merchant agreement.
- Moneybag works out the fee on each transaction and the net amount due to you.
- Moneybag operations reviews the settlement and releases it.
- The net amount is transferred to your registered bank account, and the settlement appears in your settlement reports.
What moves it later
- Weekends, bank holidays and bank cutoff times.
- A transaction hold, compliance check or risk review open on the account.
- Chargebacks on transactions in the same period.
Settlement reports in the dashboard carry transaction-level detail, so a settlement can be matched to the transactions inside it and to your own accounting records. More on settlement timing
Included at every volume
None of these is an add-on and none of them is metered separately. The per-transaction rate is what you pay for all of it.
- No setup fee, no monthly fee, no annual fee
- Every payment method on one integration
- Hosted checkout, your payment links and invoices
- Merchant dashboard with settlement reports
- Transaction-level detail on every settlement
- Sandbox, SDKs and plugins for WooCommerce and WHMCS
- Signed webhooks with delivery history
This card is what Moneybag publishes today. The rates on your account are the ones in your signed merchant agreement, and the agreement prevails.
