Who Moneybag is for
What kind of business is yours?
Moneybag opens merchant accounts across twelve business categories — from a shop that sells through a message thread to a manufacturer billing against an order. Here is the list, what taking payment looks like in each, and what you need to have in hand before you apply.
Business categories
The twelve we onboard
This is the list on our own merchant application, word for word and in its order. Pick the one that fits and the form narrows the legal identities to the ones that make sense for it.
-
E-Commerce & Online Business
You have a site and a cart, and the gateway sits at the end of it. The customer pays on a Moneybag-hosted checkout and the result comes back to your server signed.
Payment gateway -
Social Commerce (F-Commerce)
The order arrives in a message thread and there is no site to integrate. Every Moneybag account has one payment link — a single address for the life of the account — that you send to the buyer yourself.
Payment link -
Education & Training
Fees, admission and exam charges collected without a queue at the desk. Onboarding asks an institution for its EIIN and its board approval rather than a trade licence.
Moneybag for Education -
Healthcare & Medical Services
Consultations and procedures charged ahead of the visit or billed after it — from a link you send or an invoice carrying the line items.
Payment invoices -
Non-Profit & Social Organizations
Donations and membership. The application offers this category the NGO, educational-institution and other forms — not the company ones — and onboarding asks an NGO for its certificate from the NGO Bureau.
What we ask for -
Retail & Physical Stores
A basket large enough to stall at the card page. Card EMI lets a customer paying by card take it over monthly instalments, up to thirty-six months, across nine partner banks.
Card EMI -
Services & Consulting
Work that gets billed rather than checked out. An invoice carries your own line items, discount and VAT, and the client pays it online instead of transferring against it.
Payment invoices -
Manufacturing & Production
Orders that settle against a document. The invoice number is issued for you, and your own reference sits on the record beside it.
Payment invoices -
Import & Export
Documented trade, billed rather than checked out. Which papers you are asked for follows how the business is registered, not which category you picked.
What we ask for -
Technology & Software
You will want the API. Create the session server-side, send the payer to the hosted checkout, take the signed result on a webhook — and run the whole flow in the sandbox before any of it is real.
Developer overview -
Travel & Hospitality
A booking taken now for a date later. Six card schemes, five mobile wallets, and a link for the guest who never reaches your site.
Payment link -
Media & Entertainment
Tickets, releases and paid access. However you sell it, the eleven methods behind the checkout are the same eleven every account on this list gets.
Qualifying
It is your legal form that decides the paperwork
The application asks how the business is registered before it asks almost anything else, because that answer is what sets the documents you will be asked for. Eight forms are offered across the twelve categories; which of them you see depends on the category. A non-profit, for instance, is offered the NGO, educational-institution and other forms — not the company ones.
Legal identities we onboard
- Sole Proprietorship
- Partnership
- Limited Liability Company
- Public Company
- Corporation
- Non-Governmental Organization
- Educational Institution
- Other
And the documents behind them
The checklist follows the registration, not the sector. A proprietorship is asked for a trade licence, with TIN and VAT certificates where they apply. An NGO is asked for its certificate from the NGO Bureau. An educational institution is asked for approval from its education board and its EIIN. Eleven business types are set out in full, each with its own list.
Onboarding requirementsWhen the application is in, a Moneybag specialist gets in touch to set the account up. If your registration is not obviously one of the eight, say so on the form and talk to us rather than guessing.
What every account gets
The product does not change with the category
There is no education edition and no retail edition. The category on your application decides which documents you are asked for and which pages of this site are worth your time — it does not change what your checkout can do.
